National was originally called the Goat’s Path because of its narrow and winding slopes. Later it became “Rob’s Run” to honour Craigleith’s Robbie Safrata, the Canadian National Ski Team skier and 1982 World Cup winner. Afterwards, it was thought the run should honour all Craigleith’s national team skiers and was changed to its current name we know now.
